Truffs Truffles-URGENT

Truffles is urgent because she cannot stay in her foster home for much longer. She is the SWEETEST dog who needs a quiet, adult-only home who can teach her confidence, hang out with her, and enjoy her company! Her foster-dog brother has started to develop extreme fear of thunderstorms and his anxiety is starting to rub off on the other dogs in the home. We do NOT want Truffles to develop this fear (she does not have it now) and need to get her into a permanent home asap.

Truffs would be fantastic for an older couple, and an adult who works from home. She is much more comfortable with women (but could get used to men, provided the man is willing to give her some time. She is just nervous and has probably had some bad experiences in the past with some less-than-upstanding gentleman). She is a love of a dog who deserves another chance — and believe me, she will repay you in spades with love!

Beethoven Beethoven-URGENT

Beethoven is marked urgent because our partner shelter in Arkansas is full!! He is in a foster home and already crate and house trained!! He is extra sweet but becomes worried if left alone so he needs another doggie friend OR someone that is home all day. He is already learning hand signals and is very intelligent. This little sweetheart derserve a loving home.

Beethoven was kept in a “shelter” that consists of a wire cage up off the ground. Our partner shelter in Arkansas was able to squeeze him in.

He is Dalmation and Terrier and according to his foster mom, deaf. He is timid at first but warms up quickly and loves kids.

He is about 3 months old .He does fine with other dogs but is alittle imtimidated by his foster moms 2 big German Shepherds. This little sweetie has had a hard beginning and now derves a warm loving family to call his own.

All known information is listed here. If it is not listed here, then we do not know if this animal is good with cats or kids. Before sending an inquiry, please read the How To Adopt Page & FAQ pages of our website. http:www.almosthomerescue.net. This dog is available unless it is marked as Pending.

This dog is Urgent because the Arkansas shelter where he/she resides is overfull. Please do not ask local shelters to take this dog in, there are many reasons why they cannot. Please also do not send us letters about why we euthanize, AHR does not euthanize, but the shelters we work with do. We are a rescue and we pull as many dogs as we have foster homes and funds for. We, like the shelter, do not have unlimited resources. Please, please: foster, adopt or sponsor a dog to help save their lives.

Bella-URGENT

Born on February 26, 2007, Bella is listed as urgent because she is loosing her current foster home.

Bella is a very loving dog to her family and visitors, but does not live successfully with female dogs of any size or cats. She does fine with male dogs who are 50 lbs or larger. Bella is currently 48 pounds and loves her human caregiver more than anything in life.

Bella is an affectionate girl who was misunderstood by her first family, who thought she’d train herself if confined to a crate most of the time. Her foster mom has done a terrific job training Bella, and Bella is now happy, healthy, outgoing and ready to be a loyal friend for you. And she’s prettier than her pictures, too.

Bella’s foster mom is delighted to report that Bella has made some big breakthroughs in obedience training and is 100% with her house training!

Her recall has is very, very good. She also loves to play with other dogs. Bella is ready to make someone a wonderful family pet!

Because she is in need of URGENT placement, please contact Adele at lonepine_ahr@yahoo.com directly.
