Luka in Need of a Home to call his Own! Luka is a Chow mix who is need of a cat free forever home. Poor Luka was pulled from a shelter in California that euthanizes because of lack of space. He was taken to an irresponsible rescue in the California area, then he was sent to an ususpecting home in Maine. The family was told that Luka would be fine to share a home with Cats, but this was not the case. The rescue refused to take Luka back, and left Luka’s family with the heartbreak of falling in love with him, and then having to let him go. Luka is about 7 years old, and qualifies for our senior adoption rate. He is about 70 lbs and is compact. Luka has been around children, other dogs and strangers and has been exemplary. He is pleasant at the groomers and is at this age, a mellow gentleman more of a couch potato type. He loves his walks, loves to roll in the grass and play with other dogs. Luka has been neutered, he is up to date on all of his vaccinations, including kennel cough and is microchipped.
